I have noticed that some persons expect some earth-moving ideas to be successful as a blogger, but time has shown me that the basics are the most important tips you will ever get.

Great advice here! I really like how you encourage bloggers to enable comments too. I think many bloggers are missing out on building a community and interaction on their site when they choose not to enable comments.

Using a blog to make money online is fantastic and totally agree with Thomas when he says that most bloggers are missing out on building themselves a community within their sites if they don’t accept comments. One downside to this is going through all the spam comments which drive me up the wall.

I think quality content is the most important thing for a blog. If one continues to post original and creative blogs, establishing your audience and making them stay won’t be that hard. In the long run, these viewers/readers will become your customers once you decide to make money from your blogs.

Blogging has indeed become mainstream and it is a good way to earn money, especially if you dedicate a lot of your time in blogging. When choosing a niche though, it is important that you choose a niche that you like or don’t really hate. For example, if you’re not really into planting, then how can you write something wholeheartedly about planting without being dull and all that? Usually, if you don’t like the topic, you’ll also end up taking a pass at times and not making any inputs on that blog. This will most likely lessen your success rate with that blog.
Just bought a new domain. Maybe you could share some tips on how to get advertisers, do I email them or do I just wait for them to contact me?
