Pinterest is the trend of the moment : a site that allows people to save their favorite images across the web by “pinning” them to boards on their profile.

How to Sign up
Pinterest focus on keep their network as spam-free as possible, so you have to request an invite to join.
If you know someone on Pinterest, you could ask them to send you an invite as well ( I can invite you, if you need it).
Once invited, Pinterest allows you to log in via Twitter or Facebook.
The nice thing is that, even if you grant access, Pinterest does not post to your Facebook or Twitter accounts, without asking you the permission.
How It Works
First, once you have sign up, your profile should be optimized : you can place your main web site and in the section ”About”, you should include your picture and bio.
After this, you may choose what you like and based on your interests, you will receive proposal to follow some people in your categories.
After you have decided to follow or unfollow these suggested people, you can click on the Create Boards button to start creating boards to organize your pins (you may also manage your boards later).
Once your initial boards have been created , you will get the Pin It bookmarklet to add to your bookmarks bar.
Once installed, you will be able to add images to your pinboards by clicking on the Pin It bookmarket.
Click Start Pinning to complete your sign up.

You can receive a good boost of traffic from Pinterest if you use attractive images, the only thing is that the visits are just one single pageview and your bounce rate will increase badly.
