Have you just purchased the ultimate brand new electronic gadget and you do not know what to do with the obsolete ones?
Then this is for you.
Gazelle is really a wonderful idea : it gives you the opportunity to sell your used electronic gadgets for fast cash.
Gazelle has grown reaching the 100.000 items sold every year : whether you have to get rid of a cell phone, a laptop, a videogame, or any other electronic device, Gazelle has a list of more than 250.000 items.
They have already paid more than 175,000 customers upwards of $25 million since the company was founded in 2006.
1. Make a search
Browse categories to find the exact item you want to sell.
You have to declare in which condition is your gadget and it is important to be honest, as before get paid, the Gazelle team will review personally the item.
Make a choice between poor, fair, good or excellent. You need also to specify if you have all the parts to the item you are selling, including the accessories or the box.
Finally you will get a quotation.
2. Ship the goods
If you accept the price given for your electronic item, then you can confirm.
You will receive an email with the packing slip and the shipping label. Just arrange the packages and follow the instructions to ship your item.
3. Get paid
Few days later you make the shipment, you will receive an email where Gazelle team will inform you that they have received the package and they will check the items.
After they test that item, you may receive an email with the problems that they found and the reduced price that they can offer you.
You will then have the option of accept the reduced quotation or if you want your gadget to be sent back to you.
If otherwise everything is fine, you will get paid.
On the other hand, if you make some mistakes where you value your item less than what is actually rather, the Gazelle team will upgrade the quotation.
Choose how you want your payment : by check, Paypal or Amazon gift card.
You can also opt to send the money to the non-profit group of your choice.
4. Feel good
After your electronics are sold, they are then refurbished and re-sold to less fortunate countries.
You have to feel good, because you have received money for old items that would have been without the use somewhere in your home and also because this procedure gives those less fortunate countries the chance to buy gadgets that they could not afford otherwise.
If you have older items that are not worth anything, Gazelle will recycle these items for you.
Now you can start to clear out your basement and make some extra cash !

Knowing that they will help increase the price of a gadget if the seller provided a price below its current potential value makes me feel comfortable trusting them. I think Gazelle will be of great service to me.

Michelle,
I think the founders of Gazelle have created some powerful contacts and they certainly had a wonderful idea, creating this kind of business.
Especially today, when the electronic items become obsolete very quickly …

Hi Erik,
If ever I gave a product for them to sell and they found out that it is no longer good to sell, will they be the one who will spend for shipping it back to me or it will be charge on my part?

Is the appraisal of the gadgets good? I have a play station one stocked at my drawers but I’m not sure if its still working but the last time I’ve checked its still okay.

Gazelle has good appraisal, I think.
And anyway, it is worth, rather than leave it in the drawers!

Excellent resource to make some extra cash from old electronics. I have also found a good way that ties in with this to go to yard sales and thrift stores, pick them up cheap, and then send them to gazelle.

Hello Jeff,
fantastic idea, that match also with CraigsList for example :
You have to look into “For Sale” category and inside it, there is a section called “free stuff” : here people give away stuff they do not want, for free. You simply have to go pick them up and some times you can even check before pictures of these items.
You may also find electronic stuff…!

Hi Jason,
I think Gazelle is precisely focused on electronic items, more than eBay or Craiglist.

Going green by putting some green back into your pockets! Another great spin off placed on a smaller niche considering how large the market is on selling 2nd hand stuff!

Hello Jo,
Gazelle is a wonderful resource to sell your old electronic gadgets…
above all in this global economic crisis, you can have some more
money to purchase the Christmas gifts, for example…
November 30, 2011 at 2:00 pm
Do they accept broken electronics or just old unwanted electronics? If they accept broke electronics then i agree this is truly a great resource.
Cheers!
November 30, 2011 at 4:08 pm
Hello Nick,
you can check on their site.
They do accept broken electronics,
of course the quotation you will receive from your items
will be much less than good conditions electronics.
Enjoy !
